Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of mysite-name's vehicle repair services across England. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any services to ensure a clear understanding of our operations, customer responsibilities, and the repair process.

1. Service Agreement

By engaging our vehicle repair services-whether through bookings, quotations, or service requests-you agree to these terms. Our automotive services operate in compliance with relevant UK trading standards and motor industry practices.

We provide professional vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs through our qualified technicians across England.

2. Service Scope and Repair Standards

Our services include vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics, and maintenance work. We focus on providing quality workmanship using appropriate tools and quality parts that meet industry standards.

While we perform repairs to professional standards, vehicle outcomes can be influenced by existing wear, previous repair history, and manufacturer specifications. We provide honest assessments and use our expertise to achieve reliable repair outcomes.

3. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure successful service outcomes, customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate vehicle information and service history
  • Disclose any known vehicle issues or previous repairs
  • Remove personal belongings from the vehicle before service
  • Provide keys and necessary access to the vehicle
  • Respond to repair recommendations in a timely manner

Clear communication about vehicle history and issues helps us provide accurate diagnostics and efficient repairs.

4. Vehicle Assessment and Recommendations

Our technicians will assess your vehicle and provide honest recommendations for necessary work. We prioritize safety-critical issues and will advise you of any concerns found during inspection that may affect vehicle safety or reliability.

We reserve the right to decline work on vehicles that pose safety risks or require repairs beyond our technical capabilities or equipment.

5. Quotations and Repair Authorization

Quotations are provided based on initial vehicle assessment and are valid for 14 days. Repair authorization requires written or verbal approval of the quotation. Work begins once authorization is received and any required deposit is paid.

Additional work identified during repairs may affect pricing and completion time, which will be communicated and approved before proceeding.

6. Diagnostic Process and Fees

Diagnostic time is charged at our standard hourly rate. For complex faults requiring extended diagnosis, we may recommend an initial assessment period. Diagnostic fees may be waived if you proceed with the recommended repairs.

We provide explanations of fault findings and repair options before commencing work.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of repairs and before vehicle collection. For extensive repairs exceeding £500, we may require a deposit before ordering parts. Estimated costs over £100 will be communicated and approved before work begins.

Late payments may incur interest charges and affect future service scheduling. We reserve the right to retain the vehicle until outstanding payments are received.

8. Repair Timelines

Repair timelines are estimates based on initial assessment, parts availability, and workshop capacity. We provide realistic time estimates but cannot guarantee exact completion dates due to variables in the repair process.

Emergency repairs may be prioritized for safety-critical issues, subject to workshop capacity and parts availability.

9. Workmanship and Parts Warranty

We provide warranties on workmanship and parts as specified in individual repair quotations. Workmanship warranties typically cover 12 months, while parts warranties vary by manufacturer. Warranty details are provided with each repair completion.

Warranty claims should be reported promptly and may require inspection to determine coverage. Warranties do not cover issues arising from misuse, accidents, or unrelated faults.

10. Parts and Components

We use quality parts from reputable suppliers to ensure reliability and safety. Customers may supply their own parts, but workmanship warranties will not apply to customer-supplied components, and we may decline fitting non-standard or unsuitable parts.

We cannot guarantee parts sourced from outside our approved supplier network and will advise on appropriate alternatives when needed.

11. Cancellation and Changes

Appointments may be cancelled without charge with 24 hours notice. Late cancellations may incur charges for allocated workshop time. Once parts have been ordered or work has commenced, cancellation may not be possible, and costs incurred will be charged.

Repair scope changes after work has begun may incur additional charges and affect completion timelines.

12. Vehicle Storage and Collection

Completed vehicles should be collected within 2 working days of repair completion. Storage charges may apply for vehicles left beyond this period without prior arrangement. Vehicles are stored at the owner's risk, though we maintain appropriate security measures.

We require valid insurance and documentation for vehicle collection.

13. Liability Limitations

Our liability for services is limited to the cost of the repair work performed. We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing conditions, unrelated faults that develop after repair, or issues arising from normal wear and tear or vehicle age.

We maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance and follow industry best practices in our repair processes.

14. Terms Modification

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or industry practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
